CLAUDIA’S DRESS
Claudia and Matt married at Battery Gardens Restaurant, New York City. Their ceremony was simple and neutral, semi-formal.
“I dreamed of living in NYC since I was 21 years old, so to finally be living there and getting married with the statue as a back drop was pretty special.
The dress was a strapless, fishtail silhouette made from pale ivory french Chantilly lace.
Lisa took the photo of a dress I had seen and created something even more beautiful than I could ever of hoped for.
I live in New York, so was a little worried that Lisa might think it was logistically impossible for her to make my dress for me being so far away but to my surprise and extreme excitement she didn’t think it would be a problem at all.
I sent her photos of the dress I had seen and liked, along with fabrics I had in mind and also my measurements. I only had two in person fittings with Lisa and one of those was the final fitting, where only made one of two very minor adjustments. The dress was perfection, and fit me like a glove, which was incredible considering she worked on it long distance with only measurements to go on- she is a genius.
I have never met someone so passionate about their work and also so kind and patient. She communicated with me every step of the way and was always so positive and reassuring.
I received endless comments on the dress and to this day still have friends asking me where I got it. I loved every minute of wearing my dress and will be forever thankful to Lisa.”
