There are always questions brides want to ask before they decide to have a dress made, I have tried to include some of the common ones here but if I haven’t answered your query please do not hesitate to contact me, I am happy to discuss anything in more depth, no obligation.
It is important to begin the process with the best fitting undergarments possible. This sets the foundation for a perfect fitting dress.
Some bespoke dresses will be fitted with an internal corset to allow the dress to fit perfectly without the requirement of wearing a bra on your wedding day.
I also suggest to bring your wedding shoes or a pair of shoes with a similar height heel to give a better idea of the silhouette when fitting.

As a small business I am extremely busy with all aspects of my brand and no-shows have a big impact on my time.
For 30 min look-see consultations I charge a non- refundable consultation fee of £15.
For 1hr consultations I charge a non- refundable consultation fee of £15. This fee would be payable in advance and will be deducted from the initial invoice should you decide to go ahead with my services.
In the case of no-shows or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice, a non- refundable admin and missed consultation fee of £15 applies.
Fittings are by appointment only and are normally scheduled for 1 hour depending on the type of appointment. I aim to accommodate a bride’s fittings at the most suitable time for them and can often schedule appointments evenings and weekends.

Bespoke dresses normally take between 6-9 months to make but this does depend on the complexity and time of year and I will always try and accommodate your request.

I often make bespoke dresses for brides and understand their weight may well fluctuate over the course of making their dress. This is not a problem due to the fitting process, adjustments to the dress can be made along the way, to ensure that the dress fits perfectly on collection.
Alterations are undertaken and start from £220. They can vary in cost due to the type of alteration undertaken and I would always discuss this with you beforehand.
Lisa Lyons collection separates start from £500, dresses start from £1200.
Bespoke dress commissions range from £2300- £6500. On average a bespoke dress costs in the region of £2500-£3700 but it really does depend on the style and fabrics chosen.

Sadly, I do not allow any photos to be taken at 1st appointments or at toile fittings. Once your dress is in its correct fabric photos can be taken.
My studio is intimate so I therefore ask that no more than two guests come with you at the dress fitting stage.
I would advise to make solo visits when having toile fittings to allow the finished dress to have a better impact for friends and family.
Please ensure you do not use fake tan before your appointment as transfer cannot be removed from your dress.
If you are interested in a specific dress from my made to measure range then please mention this when booking your appointment in case it has been lent out for press.
